HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR BREEDER

I strongly recommend breeders who ARE SPECIALIZED AND WHO ONLY RAISE ONE BREED OF DOGS.
They are usually dog lovers and will be able to inform you well about the breed of dog they are breeding.

This type of breeder will always try to put these puppies with people or families where he knows that the harmony between a puppy of this breed and the family is possible.

There will always try to associate the character of the puppy to a future master or family that are compatible. The important thing for that kind of specialized breeder is that the welfare of the puppy and his new master.

He will even refuse to sell you a puppy if he finds that the character and personality of the puppy is not the kind that you are looking for or do not meet your expectations.

Generally, these breeders know very well their puppy. You will probably be able to meet the mother of the puppies right there, even the father of the pups and maybe even the grandparents if you are lucky!
In the Yorkshire mimiatures breed , it can be very interesting to see the grandparents. This gives you a good idea of the size that the puppy will be as adults... the yorkie puppies often take their genetic characteristics (color and size) more from their grandparents then from their parents!

In my opinion yorkies coming from family breeder are way more calm, affectionnate and easy dogs.

What to look when choosing a yorkie family breeder?
